GUEST REVIEWS

“Jim,Brandon and the whole team catered to our every request. The house was beautiful and the rooms were very comfortable. Really an amazing stay all the way around! Don’t skip the best damn fried chicken in America!” – Brian, Baton Rouge (6/14/19)

“My husband booked us room #5 for 4 nights (April 15 – 19 2019) We enjoyed roaming the house and sitting on the front porch with a cocktail. I didn’t want to leave.  Jim and Brandon are wonderful hosts and made us feel right at home. Thanks guys, you are great. – Lori N., Webster, MA

“What an incredibly gracious place to stay and relax for a few days. The grounds are beautiful, the inn keepers are wonderful, the food is delicious, the rooms are so well-appointed, the bar is full of top-rated spirits – what more could I ask for? Even the bath mats were maddeningly fluffy! Love, love, love it and I will go back. BTW, I am extremely picky and rarely write reviews.” – Jody H., San Francisco (6/14/19)

Did not stay in a room, but attended their Sunday brunch. The food was magnificent. I got their steak option, and the steak was cooked so perfectly! Great portion of mushrooms, mashed potatoes and gravy on top. Was presented really well. The building was really clean, and they also had a live musician, who sang beautifully. Outside part was gorgeous. Only thing is parking is very limited, so if you can carpool, definitely do so!

Ate at the restaurant and stayed at the inn. Restaurant: Amazing quality food. The Crab brie bisque was life changing. Only complaint is the portions are small & price is high. I left full tho expect to probably spend $50 a person.Inn: clean, nice rooms. Beds are comfy. Nice patio outside with a pool. Complaints: the image quality on the TV looks like it's from the late 1990s and the TVs are extremely small. I'd recommend buying new TVs. The rooms also don't have a mini fridge to keep your drinks cold. While they do offer ice and glasses, I'd still prefer a mini fridge. Especially if the guest is staying a week like I did.If I was in the area for vacation and not work, I'd definitely stay again.

I wish I could give the inn a 10 star review! This was just a perfect stay!! The St. Francisville Inn is simply beautiful from the house itself, the cuisine, the cocktail pool, the ambience, the accommodations, and just the attention to every detail!! I can’t wait to go back!!!!!

My daughter stayed 2 nights during the aftermath of Ida. We originally booked with a less than favorable hotel, and my daughter left there and came to the inn. The inn is top notch 5 star accommodations, with gracious innkeeper and owners. The owners have made sure every detail is exquisite, in order for you to have a luxurious stay. You are greeted with champagne and a tour of the inn. The rooms are beautifully decorated, amazing sheets, bathrobes, fresh rose bud in the bathroom with upscale soaps and other products. The grounds feel like you are in a manicured estate. Most of all they made my daughter feel welcome, and the pampering she received was a nice touch after weathering hurricane Ida and living in her apartment with no electricity, and high temps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to experience the inn myself.

My husband and I enjoyed a Friday-Sunday stay at the Inn and could not have asked for a better weekend. Jim, Brandon and the whole staff team are phenomenal. We never left the property and enjoyed every meal at the Inn. Dinner was superb and I cannot wait to enjoy those crab cakes again! This was our second trip staying in the Gardenia room -- a king bed on the 1st floor with a great private patio off the back. We slept phenomenally after coming off the COVID19 quarantine. The towels and bath accessories are top-notch, and the fresh flowers are a constant reminder of your beautiful surroundings. I enjoyed a virtual yoga class behind the Inn overlooking the lush woods. The trickling of the garden fountain and unbeatable view made for an unbeatable yoga session. We enjoyed time at the pool, lounging on the front porch rocking chairs, and being able to fully unplug for the hustle and bustle. If you are looking for a relaxing experience, with phenomenal food and surreal landscape, look no further! We cannot wait to go back again.

A fabulous experience! My husband and I were looking for a relaxing staycation and the the St. Francisville Inn couldn't have been any more perfect. The owners, Brandon and Jim, did an incredible job with the renovation, everything from top to bottom is so beautiful, they were so welcoming and we had a great time talking with them. The highlight of our trip was dinner at the Inn. We tried almost all of the well known restaurants in town and by far the restaurant at the Inn was the best, so delicious!! We can't wait to come back!

The Inn is probably one of my favorite place in Saint Francisville. The food is awesome and the staff are great. Both of the hosts personality go out of their way to make sure that your experience is stellar. If you haven't been here since the renovations, make it a point. You will not be disappointed.

Such a beautiful place, such a hospitable team, such a great stop... The photo was taken at night under the porch and you would have to go inside to really appreciate the charm of this place. We loved it. Especially our 22 year old son who had his first taste of Absynth! Jim (one of the owners) was at the bar... Make sure to stop there and try some of the unusual alcohols: the gins and single malts are worth the stop!

Brunch is the best, very reasonable priced, wonderful service in a southern classy ambience; I think they have the town's best bloody mary! Although somebody walk around the tables with a little dog and nobody said anything which it is a health code violation and I didn't apreciate that.

We had a girl’s trip to St. Francisville and stayed overnight at the St. Francisville Inn and loved it. Everything is absolutely beautiful, wonderful staff, delicious food, cozy court yard and relaxing front porch. The main house is to die for, we were wowed by every inch! In the main house is a beautiful restaurant and lovely bar called the “Saint”. We enjoyed visiting with the owners Brandon & Jim, they definitely know how to spread the southern hospitality! We did not want to leave!Visiting the St. Francisville Inn should be on everyone’s bucket list.Denise, Julie & Joan-Louisiana-11/26/19

This place was incredible from the moment you drove up. It had the amenities of a 5-star hotel but the quaint feel of a southern Bed and Breakfast... The entire staff, including the owner who lives on the premises, were incredibly attentive. The facilities were impeccably clean and the food was awesome. My girlfriend and I are looking for a reason to visit St. Francisville so we can stay there again!

Went to St Francisville with my mom and daughter for a girls overnight trip. We saw a few plantations and went to several antique shops just as we planned. However, the best part of our trip was the time we spent at the St Francisville Inn. Since we went on a Monday after a busy weekend, we were some of the only people at the inn which allowed us time to visit with the owners on the front porch in the evening and at the bar that night. As other reviews have noted, they are amazing as are the renovations done to the inn. We enjoyed our visit with them both and they really did make us feel welcome and at home. Ms Shirley was another part of the staff we visited with and she was just a wonderful, thoughtful woman. We all left saying that we needed to come back to stay at the inn to visit with Jim and Brandon and Ms Shirley again and to see some additional renovations that they have planned.

A beautiful restoration and inviting hosts make The St.Francisville Inn the place to visit. The grounds are lovely and the attention to detail evident in all aspects. The bar is welcoming and the drinks are inventive and delicious. Don’t miss a great meal at The Saint. I’d recommend booking a room so there’s not too far to go after your evening visit. Rooms are beautifully appointed and perfectly comfortable. We look forward to a return visit soon to this gem in St.Francisville.

I've never stayed at the Inn but as a former employee I can state that looks can be decieving. The place is magnificent and the workers do their best for guests that check in to stay or for meals. I was just sad to find out the hard way that working here taught me to never leave a job for another one that promise a great work experience but not offer it. I was informed by most of the individuals that ate there that the chicken I fried tasted like grandma's as well as the desserts I prepared but nevertheless, I was terminated after three months of service building their clients lists. All I off to Brandon and Jim is prayers because I am a child of God that never sleeps. I pray your business prosper but that you realize that you can not continue to lie on individuals careers and ways of living. I ask God to touch the two of you. I never believed anything I was told about the two of you until I see how things were with the business. Remember the people you lie on and hurt in life shall follow you. Good luck again because you will need it.

We will definitely be returning and staying here again, probably as an annual thing now. The owners are wonderful, gracious hosts, the property is more than beautiful, and the rooms are so lovely and comfortable. The pool is sparkling clean and surrounded by lush gardens, one can be forgiven for falling in love with the place. At the Inn you can remain as private as you like, or you can dine at the restaurant inside the main house and mingle with the most interesting, friendly folk. Speaking of the main house, the owners have outdone themselves with the decor and design. It is a must-see!

St. Francisville Inn is a fantastic place to stay along the Mississippi, an excellent day trip from New Orleans for the plantation tours and charming small towns like St. Francisville, and better option than staying in Baton Rouge. Brandon was such a wonderful host/innkeeper and he has created beautiful spaces in the main house. Breakfast was top notch (and we had already eaten many memorable meals in New Orleans, so this is no small claim). Brandon's attention to detail and hospitality is well-honed (we won't give details so we don't create unreasonable expectations), but we will note that we left earrings in the room. He had them ready when we contacted him and put them in the mail to us.The property is next door to a pretty park and we look forward to returning to see what Brandon and Jim do to enhance the guest rooms and the landscaping on their property. We highly, highly recommend the St. Francisville Inn.

What makes this place amazing are the new owners!!! Their kindness and hospitality are immeasurable! Even in the middle of renovating, they go the extra mile to make each room extra special and cozy. The little Divinity treat next to the bed blew me away! I didn't have time to go down for breakfast one morning so they brought breakfast to me!!!.. How's that for hospitality?!?!?.. And this breakfast.... Best breakfast you will find in Louisiana!!! I can't wait for the Grand Opening in April! ❤❤❤❤
