Yellow Leaf Arts Festival
Authentic, inimitable, and running on a full tank of small town charm, the Yellow Leaf has become a favorite with artists, craftspeople, musicians, and collectors—many of whom have been involved every year since the festival’s inception. Upwards of forty artists and craftspeople come to Parker Park to show and sell paintings, pottery, metalwork, handmade boats, fabric art, wood pieces, sculpture, glass art, jewelry, carvings, and lots more. The featured artist is visual artist and songwriter Lee Barber, in from Austin, Texas. 2022 Louisiana Tradition Bearer Mary Alice Vanderwaters will also present a talk.
Then there’s the music. This year the Yellow Leaf lineup includes Clay Parker and Jodi James, Levee Road Review, a Singalong with Margaret Fowler Milam, Cat De Mers & Broadmoor Porch Band, Steve Judice, Traveling Dive Bar, Heather Feierabend with Ryan Harris & Melissa Wilson, Trey & Lexi Pendley, Patrick Rexrode & Sing Willow, Rondo Hatton, The Fugitive Poets with Day Trip, plus lots of others. No factory-produced items, noisy generators, or carnival rides; just a heady blend of art, music, poetry and, nature, from 10 am–5:30 pm in Parker Park, downtown St. Francisville.
