Try Arts Tuesday

Head to the brand new Cary Saurage Community Arts Center for the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s brand new weekly educational initiative: Try Arts Tuesday. Each week, professional artists and novices alike are invited to the Center to explore a new art form, and connect with their community during the hands-on workshops. Classes are free for members and $10 for non-members. Additional donations are accepted. 6:30 pm every Tuesday. October workshops include:
October 12: Dance for All with Renee Chatelain–A dance class for adults of all skill levels. No experience is necessary. Explore movement from barre to center floor work. Comfortable clothes and ballet shoes or socks are recommended.
October 19: How to Draw a Face with Mike Weary–An introductory course on how to draw the human face. No experience is necessary. All materials will be provided.
October 26: Finding Your Inner Artist with Mike Weary–Everyone has creative abilities. In this class, we invite you to find your inner artist. No experience is necessary. All materials will be provided.
