Toddler Thursdays at LSU Museum of Art
The LSU Museum of Art is opening its doors to tykes under the age of five and their parents or caregivers the first Thursday of each month for tot-friendly arts education lessons and engaging activities. Free for members, $5 per child for nonmembers (free for accompanying caregivers). 10 am. Here are the upcoming themes:
September 1: “How do you see yourself?” Toddlers will have the opportunity to learn about portraiture: what a portrait is and how a portrait artist can capture a person’s essence, and create their own paper plate portrait.
October 6: “A Screaming Fun Time!” Little ones will tour the museum’s exhibitions, and create their own piece of “scream art”.
