Herschel Harrington Memorial Art Show at Backwoods Gallery

For many decades, Herschel Harrington and his artwork were fixtures of downtown St. Francisville—locals will recall the frequent sounds of gentle classical music floating from his gallery out into Royal Street. The artwork contained within was just as lovely: combining elements of expressionism, impressionism, and pointillism to capture serene scenes of Louisiana nature, from majestic egrets to moss draped over oak limbs. Harrington sadly passed away earlier this summer, but his memory lives on in his artwork—which will be on display and available for sale at Backwoods Gallery in St. Francisville.
