February 5: Kids ages five through eleven are invited to read aloud kid-friendly passages of literature by African American writers, and will listen to a short presentation about African American artists before creating their own art. Main Library at Goodwood at 3 pm.

February 27: Kids ages six through eleven will read about George Washington Carver and partake in a famous quote scavenger hunt. Snacks will be served (perhaps peanut butter related?). Carver Branch at 4:30 pm.
