A Day of Archaeology at Oakley House

Explore the ways archeology can use buried artifacts to tell us about the past, shedding light on day-to-day life and giving a voice to those who have previously been silenced. An archeologist will guide participants through a recreated dig modeled after the actual archeological excavation of the slave cabin on Oakley’s property. 10 am–3 pm. $5 grounds fee.
