Brandon’s Flowers
Inn Courtyard & Gardens
It starts every morning at 7:30 when Brandon heads outside to hand water the plants around The Inn. The task usually takes about an hour to complete. Often, Charlie, The Inn’s dachshund, wanders aimlessly between the flowers, dodging the water. Every March, Brandon plants hundreds of flowering bulbs around the property. This is in addition to the two hundred hydrangeas, Japanese magnolias, camellias, ferns, and dozens of other flowering plants that come to life each spring. During the renovation, Brandon added a formal kitchen garden and incorporated it into the pool area adjacent to the courtyard. There’s a lot to see, including our two hundred year old live oak trees. This section is dedicated to Brandon’s first love – flowers (yea, not Jim, flowers).
