The Inn St. Francisville Inn has operated as a Bed & Breakfeast for almost 25 years and has become one of the most popular lodging establishments.
Located in the town of St. Francisville's historic district, convenient to restaurants, shops, historic homes, churches and cemeteries.
All ten guest rooms open onto porches which surround a New Orleans style courtyard. A small swimming pool enchances the courtyard.

A Really Big Attraction

Yes, really big as in the largest tree east of the California Redwoods.  Cat Island National Wildlife Refuge, just ten minutes west of St. Francisville is home to the National Champion Bald-cypress tree. Such an unique tree brings visitors from the world over, definitely something you want to see..
Other hiking areas include; Mary Ann Brown Preserve, Tunica Wildlife Management Area and State Park, trail at Oakley Plantation and a little further to the north just past the stateline to Mississippi is Clark Creek WMA also referred to as Tunica Falls.

camellias Camellias in the Country This annual event showcase the large varities of Camellias found in West Feliciana Parish from private homes and plantations. Hosted by the Feliciana Nature Society & Rosedown Plantation, the event starts Friday night with a Camellia show and social. The following day is spent at Rosedown Plantation Gardens and meeting room where a guest speaker talks about Camellias and gives a guided tour through the extensive gardens. 800-488-6502

Oakley House Audubon Pilgrimage The third weekend of March each year. The Annual Spring Pilgrimage is dedicated to the memory of John James Audubon, who set himself the task of painting all the birds in America. Angola Rodeo & Craft Fair Annual event held Saturday and Sunday on the third weekend in April. Angola State Prison opens its doors for visitors to experience what a prison rodeo is like. Popularity of the rodeo increases every year. A prison wood & craft shop sale is held in conjunction with the rodeo.  
Locus Grove Cemetery Sarah Knox Taylor Davis Memorial Day
Daughter of President Zachary Taylor and wife of the Confederacy President Jefferson Davis - this day will be honor for Sarah Knox Taylor Davis. Celebration will be held at Locus Grove Cemetery. The Locus Grove Cemetery is now a State Commemorative Area and once was the family burial ground for Locus Grove Plantation

Day the War Stopped Held during the Summer - For a brief moment in 1863, the civil war stopped in the St Francisville for a burial of Lt. Commander John E. Hart, commander of the federal gunboat Albatross. In commemoration of this unique event in history: a re-enactment of the burial, a play by local performers and other activities are scheduled. 225-635-3873

Christmas Parade down Ferdinand St Christmas in the Country Annual event held on the first full weekend in December. Celebrate St Francisville's Christmas Festival where the historic district is illuminated in tiny white lights.
